George is a dog tempted to do bad things. He loves cake. There's a cake. Will he eat the cake? The look on George's face as he considers is hilarious.

I'm so excited to do this at story time. I think it's a great combination of funny and provocative. The open-ended last page is a great chance to discuss self-control and whether George has learned his lesson.

This is a simply perfect little set of board books. I bought one set for my niblings and ended up keeping it for myself -- my favorite bedtime reading. Then I bought another set and actually gave it to my niblings, and another set for other favorite little friends. Must be seen, held, read, treasured, experienced. Gorgeous art, groundingly satisfying stories. Perfect, just perfect.

My toddler absolutely adores this book. She loves to do the "Shh" sound and whenever we're outside and see a bird she turns to us and says "Hello, Birdie...SHHH". It's a really nice children's book that teaches you to be nice to animals and it's gorgeously illustrated.
