Short biography
Veronica Parker Johns was a member of the Mystery Writers of America for 42 years. She wrote five detective novels, a nonfiction work about her hobby of collecting sea shells -- She Sells Sea Shells -- and a number of short stories that appeared in Ellery Queen's Mystery Magazine and other publications. She was perhaps best known for her story "A Gentleman Caller," which was adapted for The Alfred Hitchcock Hour on television.
