There is some humor in an incredibly self centered Prince Charmaine, but overall there's not enough originality to make this story really enjoyable.

Ms. Kiefer cleverly weaves various fairy tales and fairy tale characters into this rollicking adventure of Sleeping Beauty (who never actually falls asleep!). The more familiar the reader is with the standard European fairy tales, the more fun the story will be.
