It tells of an amazing little girl. I love her insight and asking the others for their sight. By creative writing the author added their own lovely twist. The moral: you can do all things though Christ.

Harriet Tubman is born a slave on a Maryland plantation in the 1800s. She trusts in God, but her faith is tested at every turn. Should she obey her masters or listen to her conscience? This story from Harriet's childhood is a record of courage. Even more, it's the story of God's faithfulness as He prepares her for her adult calling to lead more than 300 people out of slavery through the Underground Railroad.

Imagines the search for faith experienced by the ten-year-old blind daughter of John Bunyan, author of "Pilgrim's Progress," during her father's imprisonment for preaching found contrary to the edicts of the Church of England.

I really recommend this book if you are studying the Mayflower and Pilgrams. It's a really beautiful book and I love it! I had to read it for school but as I was reading it, I actually began to like the book. And that is really rare with school books. Great read.
