A rich family loses their money and moves into a small town motel.
3/4 (Good).
I hate cringe humor. The Chris Elliott scenes in particular are just hard to watch. But there's enough other stuff that's hilarious to make up for it, and eventually enough sincere character development to make it special.

A Mighty Wind makes me laugh every time I watch it and it must be watched. Part of what makes me laugh is the perfectly normal sounding part of the "documentary" juxtaposed with something wince-worthy. This was actually my introduction to the mockumentary genre and I fell in love with it.
I think part of the movie's attraction is its attention to detail. The album covers featured look like they were created during the appropriate time period. Even the songs and musical styles sound right. show more (Yes, I bought the CD and the songs blend easily into my other folk music songs.)
I also loved the extras. The deleted scenes are funny, but the jewels are the TV episodes and the PBN recording. They are spot on. Do take the time to watch them.
If you like folk music and have a sense of humor about it or if you enjoy good comedy, I think you'll like the movie. show less

I must admit that I didn't like Schitt's Creek straight away. It took me a couple of episodes to warm to it. When I read through this tribute book I realised how much I enjoyed the show and its inclusive and entertaining storylines. This book contains an episode by episode guide, interviews with the cast and crew and most importantly, a fashion guide highlighting Moira's outfits and wigs and David's knit collection. One for the fans.
This coffee table book does exactly what a coffee table book should do--it lets you pick it up anywhere and read a page or tw0 and be reminded of what you loved about the show. This would be an excellent gift book for the fan in your life.
