I think this story is set in far eastern Zululand, or Swaziland, along the Indian Ocean. It is thriller, adventure, mystery all rolled into one. It was enjoyable.

Mostly set in the Swiss Alps near Lake Geneva. A thriller, with romance as well. The reader is kept wondering what Fordam’s feud is and with whom. Then, Bang! I prefer Mitford’s South African novels but this one was fine for something different and it was VERY different.

Great hunting scenes worthy of [[Hemingway]] and a sense of imminent death and growing threat well brought in throughout the book. I definitely want to read more Bertram Mitford who then lived in England on an Estate with a room full of Kudu horns, Zulu shields and spears.… (more)
