I was pleasantly surprised at how excellent this is. Clear, concise, well reasoned, anticipates counter-arguments, and makes a very strong case that yes, it can in fact happen here.
As we've unfortunately started see with the recent spate of deadly antisemitic attacks and the controversial statements of NYC's next mayor. If anyone needs to read this book, it's Mamandi and his supporters.

ANTISEMITISM IN AMERICA
Senator Chuck Schumer
It’s almost a year since Senator Chuck Schumer’s ANTISEMITISM IN AMERICA A Warning was published . Antisemitism has become much worse since then and spread to many other parts of the world, primarily in Europe, Australia, and Canada.
Schumer was born in 1950 and writes about growing up in Brooklyn, New York. He remembered the pride in his community when Sandy Koufax refused to play for the first game of the World Series because it was Yom show more Kippur.
Discussing the history of Jews in the world, he explains the cycle of antisemitism. Jews are accepted until they are no longer useful.
MIsrael was blamed for Palestinians being kept in refugee camps for 70 years. The fact that Egypt and Jordan controlled the West Bank and Gaza from 1949 to 1967 and did not establish independence state for those areas when it attacked Israel in the Six Day War was ignored. Israel withdrew totally from Gaza in 2005. No Jews remained. The Arabs created refugee camps for the Palestinians. But Israel was blamed for making Gaza of prison.
It’s no wonder students think the media has a negative effect on society. Other minority groups…hear …expressions of bigotry that they are sensitive to even if the literal meaning is not explicitly racist, community activists called it out. The same standard should apply to slogans like “from the river to the sea.”
NAntisemitism got worse within a few days after October 7, 2023. The attack was not condemned. The hostages were ignored. Israel was charged with genocide. All Jews were targeted regardless of where they lived or who their position was with Judaism or Israel.
MA double standard went into effect. Israel was blamed for everything even when it was not responsible for an action. Hamas‘s role was not mentioned. Wars in other countries, such as Ukraine, Chechnya, and and even more casualties, were ignored.
In his conclusion Schumer wishes for country in which unalienable rights included everybody, including Jews. show less
