Schumer is giving contributions to Ron Wyden? I would think Wyden could manage without that assistance - he won 64% of the votes in his 2004 re-election. There was a time when Oregon was dominated by Republicans, but they haven't won a statewide race since Gordon Smith was re-elected to the Senate in 2000 (he lost in 2008).
