Latest addition conatins all new languages OO and functional, ADT, type checking ,scoping, concurrency etc, over all its a good book for programming concepts

Outdated, waaaaay outdated overview to many different types of programming languages. Does not include newer types of languages such as scripts, and markup languages, or the modern OO-languages like C# and JAVA.

Focus of the book is on using different languages for examples on what a modern programming language needs to include: syntax & semantics, type checking, scope, data types and ADTs, expressions, assignment statements, control structures, subprograms, concurrency, and exception handling.… (more)
