Ich wollte das Buch mögen, aber es hat mich bloß gelangweilt.

God - first book in three months. Went down really well. Not least because the book was so good. Sociological study on the road, and horizontal, topographical differences instead of a vertical hierarchy in society. Detects one of the big problems in this country, neglect through ignorance (rural folks don't figure in the big picture). And this side of the book merges with the other, walking side of it, with the help of imagery that binds the real and the abstract naturally. Excellent!
