Marcia Tatroe gardens on the high plains in Centennial, Colorado, and squeezes an ever-changing palette of over 2,000 species of plants into a small suburban lot. Her garden has been featured in numerous books, magazines, and nationally televised programs. A strong advocate of xeriscaping and native plants, she is interested in all facets of gardening and garden design. Marcia served on the Board of Directors of Xeriscape Colorado! for five terms and received a service award for her volunteer work as a Master Gardener for Colorado State University's Cooperative Extension Service. She designed several gardens at Denver Botanic Gardens, including Woodland Mosaic and Shady Lane. A garden columnist for The Denver Post, she is also widely pulished in both regional and national magazines, including Fine Gardening, Herb Companion, and writes the monthly garden guide in Sunset. Marcia's first book is the best-selling Perennials for Dummies.
