Written in a very inclusive manner, Ms. Tatroe makes the reader feel like gardening with perennials is completely achievable by anyone. The book includes basic chapters on preparing a flower bed, enriching the soil, choosing plants suitable for one's yard, and where to get the flowers in the first place. There are some pre-made plans available as well, which makes it super easy to plant a bed that looks great and includes plants that have similar care requirements. As a basic guide, this really does it all.
