“These Moments Pass” is a collection of poems written by Kevin Walker. The poems center around everyday life and the good and bad that happen to us every day. We can let these events uplift and inspire us or wallow in the misery.

Each poem is easy to read and very few are over a page long. People of all ages can relate to them. Some of my favorites were “Not Worthless” which starts out with:

You are not worthless.
Even if you’ve been called
That your entire life

And “Someone Who Cares” which ends with:

Someone who hears
Even when you don’t speak.

Someone who sees
Even when you try hiding.

I think in the world to come
Everyone will be like that

I enjoyed this book. I thought that Mr. Walker was able to provoke images in my mind with each poem and touched my heart with some of them. My biggest complaint is that I thought it was too short. It seemed as though it should have been part of a collection rather than a stand-alone.
