Ingeborg is 14 when Anna, her best friend, offers to teach her to ride. A month later she finds out that her mum has bought her an old circus horse that Anna names Tovan. From then on she and Anna are always out with their horses and Ingeborg is happier than ever, until she begins to wonder if she is too fond of Anna.
