People/Characters Lani

In the Empire series by Sam Barone, Lani is the older sister of Tippu.  Their family, and her hudband, were tortured and murdered by Ninazu.  Tippu became his favorite concubine, a position she found horrific, and when he tired of her sister Lani, Tippu was able to persuade him to have Lani run his house.  When Bisitun falls to Eskkar's forces, Lani and Tippu ask to be taken to Akkad, as they are hated in Bisitun as Ninazu's foreign women.  Lani is not as beautiful, but is the stronger and smarter of the sister.
