In The Alice Network by Kate Quinn, Lili is the preferred pseudonym of Louise Marie Jeanne Henriette de Bettignies (15 July 1880 - 27 September 1918) who was a French secret agent who spied on the Germans for the British during World War I using the pseudonym of Alice Dubois. In the novel she is also Vivienne the Cheesemaker. Her organization was known as the Alice Network, and she was dubbed 'The Queen of Spies' by the British.
