Good News

With so much Bad News about at the moment, I thought it might be a good idea to start a group devoted to posting examples of Good News.

Please, please, please ... post only things that everyone but an extreme misanthrope or enemy of liberal democracy would regard as good news. Advances in medicine, advances in clean energy, new discoveries in other fields, victories for liberty and democracy that would be recognized by people across the political spectrum.
