Katherine Anne Porter (1890-1980) Best known for her short stories such as [The Downward Path to Wisdom], novellas like [Pale Horse Pale Rider] also her one novel [Ship of Fools], 1962, made into a 1965 film starring Vivien Leigh in her last film. Ms. Porter is a favorite author of mine, an inveterate liar and great Texan storyteller.
