Speculative fiction at the University of Kansas includes the lending library at Watson and the research collection (including many original manuscripts and other papers) at Spencer Research Library.

The Ad Astra Center for Science Fiction & the Speculative Imagination brings together scholars, educators, writers, and readers to grow understanding and help develop the potential of the speculative fiction genres. We offer interdisciplinary educational programs about literature and craft to integrate SF with the fields that shape SF content, including the liberal arts and the social and physical sciences. We offer a number of SF courses and writing workshops, and much more.
