About My Library
My tastes run mainly to fiction that combines great storytelling, humor and social commentary. Favorite authors include: Jane Austen, Zadie Smith, Charles Dickens, and Anthony Trollope. My literary first loves were Jane Eyre, David Copperfield, Nancy Drew, and anything by Agatha Christie.
About Me
Jamaican. Tar Heel. Bookworm. All-purpose pop culture fan & brand new PhD (May 2010). I study media, politics & public opinion, and their intersection with race, gender & sexuality. Rather than making a complete escape, I enjoy the way that fiction presents another view of human nature and all of the above.
