- About My Library
- I will not list all my books, I probably have around 1,500, some of which I am starting to replace with Folio Society editions, either new or second hand. The first book I bought was a Mr. Man book in Primary School, my first almost adult book, was The Hobbit. I have been collecting books for 30+ years, Folio though for just 6 months (February 2021), after buying some Barnes and Noble Leather Editions and that leading to learning more about first Easton Press and then Folio.I am starting to collect the Letterpress Shakespeare’s, but am looking for a fine version of The Aeneid LE. After that, The Wanderer, The Poetic Edda, Beowulf, Studies from Nature and The Wind in the Willows.
- About Me
- I have collected books for many years, although I have only discovered the Folio Society recently. One book from them, led to two, then a nice Limited Edition and what I originally thought was crazy prices I now do not bat an eye at! They do bring me great joy though, although coupled with my older collection of main stream press books, I dread my next house move! I like most genres, my preference though is history, all types classical to modern. If I am looking for a bit of escapism then it will most likely be Science Fiction. I have worked in engineering for the last 25 years, Automotive, Defence, Aerospace and Space. It pays the bills and I have seen a lot of the world with it.
