- About My Library
Calhoun-Gordon County Public Library is the local library in Calhoun, GA. We have daily programming with exciting new events for all ages each month. While we aren't the biggest library, we are known as the friendliest, and if there's something you can't find on our shelves, we are luckily part of the greater system of PINES in Georgia, which makes inter-library loans a breeze.
- About Me
My name is Moe and I'm the Young Adult Coordinator at Calhoun-Gordon County Public Library. Before coming to the library, I spent a few years in education and prior to that, I had the incredible opportunity to work at a book publishing company that didn't outsource - so I got to see the process from concept to fulfillment.
For the first time in over a decade, I find myself devouring books like my middle school self and it has my heart so full. You'd think that an English literature and Creative Writing major would have always had a book in hand - however, I don't count my required academic readings in the same light as the ones that now litter my house.
Growing up in the south with a chronically ill mother, chronically working father, and being a part of the LGBTQ+ community, I found books to be my safe haven. Cliché right? Now I have the opportunity to provide a similar space for the tweens and teens that come to our library. In my free time, I now can be found reading to my hearts content, in addition to writing, playing video games, and spending time with my partner and our pets.
