I hate getting rid of books. I never sold books back in college, and I refuse to sell books I've already read. This confuses a great many of my friends and relatives. I'm a huge fan of fantasy in all its varieties, as well as science fiction and other genre works. I'm also a Jane Austen fan and I enjoyed the Sir Walter Scott novel I've read (Waverley). I'm as fascinated by history and theory as I am by characters and plot, so my library can be a little eclectic. Some of my favorite books were gifts from my aunt, who has been instrumental in fostering my love of reading over the years.

I've been an aspiring author for more than fifteen years now. I have a few completed novels (that all need at least some work) and a few more in progress as well as a number of short stories. Reading and writing have been my primary hobbies since elementary school, and I am still passionate about them. That's the biggest reason why I have an M.A. in English from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC and a B.A. in English with a concentration in creative writing from NC Sate University in Raleigh, NC.
