I have a large personal library (several thousand; I've lost track since downsizing my religious holdings at the time of my retirement) that might consist of thirty percent Bible/theology/church history/liturgy/hymnody, forty-five percent art and architectural history/graphic arts/printing/photography, fifteen percent history/social sciences, five percent literature/poetry, three percent philosophy, and two percent rare books (lucky finds from all sorts of fields). I should add as well a small percentage devoted to history of science, music, and natural history, too, with a special affection for books on trees.

I am a recently retired American Baptist pastor living in Minneapolis. Prior to serving churches in Illinois, Iowa, and Minnesota, I was a graphic artist, the art librarian at the University of Chicago (ca. eleven years), and the Assistant to the Dean at Rockefeller Memorial Chapel.
