About My Library: This collection of resources which supports our members in their family history research is held in our library at 15 Victoria Terrace, Edinburgh, EH1 2JL.

Our extensive collection of resources includes books, maps, CDROMs, microfiche, microfilms and subscription databases. We are also a FamilySearch Affiliate Library. The focus is on Scottish family history with special reference to Edinburgh and the Lothians.
About Me: Founded in 1953 and established as a SCIO (Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation) in 2024, the Society is managed by volunteers dedicated to offering support throughout the research process. We extend a warm welcome to members and visitors alike without the need for prior booking.
