About My Library

I am particularly drawn to novels about quirky people and their lives. I also enjoy books about books and historical fiction about women doing unconventional or very ordinary things.

I tend to read in subgenre phases. Currently, I am recovering from a major medical event and am leaning towards lighter novels without leaning too romantic. My capacity for following a complicated plot is low. I'm also digging into botanical drawing to aid in my recovery but also pulling at strings to anything mildly related like nonfiction plant botany that has excellent hand drawn art or photography.

Though I prefer hardcover novels, audiobooks keep me reading while sewing and gardening so I never have to stop. I recently got a Kobo eReader and have really fallen in love with the ease of Libby checkouts so maybe that will override my love of hardcover novels eventually. Time will tell. The Kobo has been especially useful while I've been incapacitated. I've used Libby to read poetry and other light reading.

Books listed in my library are all books I have read, not necessarily owned.
