About My Library

I am particularly drawn to novels about quirky people and their lives. I also enjoy books about books and historical fiction about women doing unconventional or very ordinary things.

I tend to read in subgenre phases. Currently, I am in a quiet, reflective mood due to world uncertainty and am reading books that are also quiet and reflective, often set in cold climates. I'm reading a lot of Scandinavian and Irish authors, but I will update as this shifts (I often read in regional spurts).

Though I prefer hardcover novels, audiobooks keep me reading while sewing and gardening so I never have to stop. I recently got a Kobo eReader and have really fallen in love with the ease of Libby checkouts so maybe that will override my love of hardcover novels eventually. Time will tell. I have no excuse not to read Babel anymore since every novel weighs the same now.

Books listed in my library are all books I have read, not necessarily owned.
