About My Library
Now it's non-fiction: history of science and presidents thru Lincoln.

Recent reads (1/17), Colin Dexter, author of the Inspector Morse series, the opening trilogy.

I'm now serving the MIT club of Princeton, the Book Club, with collections MIT-{Active,Have Read,Consider}.

Personally, I"m loading up on Roth. finally got to portnoy's complaint, the only roth title at penn books (nyc penn station) i hadn't read, not that i was avoiding it.

had a fling with dystopia. J G Ballard after Oct 09 Harpers; Margaret Atwood's new book. after seeing a Larriue bros film at the TIFF.

About Me
Now eight grandchildren since 2008, of three children.

retired (9/1/12) six year technology trainer for Fidessa (recently gobbled into private equity), a UK-based financial services software supplier.

My seven-second resume: rural MN, MIT, DOD, FACC (Ford Aero), PC, ATT, Nokia, BA, UK.

Our (wife Pat) three grown children have all found the public sector: Chip -- WNET, NYC, now at NBC Network News; Maura -- HS Band Director, NJ; Katie -- StoryCorps.Net, NPR outlet, recently with Houston Lighthouse, all of whom we couldn't be more proud.

prior to the retirement job, daughter Maura assured me "we can offer you a challenge teaching here in NJ -- you don't need the NYC Teaching Fellows".

Two things I've learned since Nov '06:
I arrived in Cambridge MA on the day eecummings died, and
My first half-birthday was on the day the US bombed Dresden "back to the stone age". And so it goes.
