Read- well I read it
Essays- It contains essays and so it is unlikely I will ever read it cover to cover.
Reference- It is for reference and not reading
Source- contains mostly source material that is not a single or group of written works.
Art Source- I have the book for the pictures or information about the pictures contained therein.
Various languages-At this moment I am unlikely to read them straight through so they have their own categories.
howto- books that talk about how to do something
Poetry- Not used yet but for collections of poetry and lyrics
