- Surprise - I have too many books. But mostly history, lots on the American Civil War, biographies of the presidents and colonial figures, history of the Roman empire, etc. Also Shakespeare and some poetry, especially Whitman -- America's greatest poet -- although I have a tin ear for it.

- I'm a lawyer with many years of litigation experience. I'm interested in history generally, but American History (Civil War and Revolutionary War), Roman History, and oddly enough, the history of the classic Mayan civilization, in particular.
