This was a really cool book even though it had no words (1), I wish I had had this book as a child! I had books like this one but they were about drawing airplanes and other objects. Books like this are so coo because they help build a child's confidence. (1), I loved this book! it mixes biography and drama and tells a thrilling story. I never knew that Mary Shelly had such a hard childhood. This makes me wonder just how many children out there could be the next Mary Shelly (1), without really changing the meaning. (1), one would almost think the lyrics and illustrations were made for each other. This was an ingenious way to use song lyrics to tell a different story than they were intended (1), and written picture books I have ever read; and not just because I love the Beatles. The way this book is put together (1), but he never talked back to me. Maybe I just never listened hard enough. (1), but not the way you think. This fictional story actually throws scientific facts into the story as little side notes. I love it!! I used to talk to the man in the moon too (1), I had fun with it. Did you know the unicorn is Scotland's national mythical creature? I had no idea Mr. Wallace had written an entire series of "How to Catch" books about everything from dragons to leprechauns. (1), and it captures the imagination. I have always loved animals and the ocean (1), This was an awesome diversified picture book that really gives a glimpse into Chinese culture through the eyes of a child. The "How to Catch" series is a wonderfully written and illustrated series of picture books that gives young readers an excellent way (1), but definitely suited for upper elementary aged children. (1), I had no idea the "How To train Your Dragon" series had this many books in it's series. This would make another great movie! this was a well written book (1), the illustrations could have added so much more to the story that way. (1), Drake has to be brave if he and Anna are going to defeat Astrid. This would be an excellent starter book for young children wanting to graduate from traditional picture books into chapter books. I wish the illustrator had used color (1), I didn't realize this was a show on Nickelodeon? I love the message behind this story. Team work makes the dream work! (1), or Picasso if their parents would just let them dream. (1), and this book brings both of those things together. This book really is a good transition from picture books to higher reading and it doesn't get boring they way some text books might. (1), I had forgotten about this story about Teddy Roosevelt. I'm glad I found it. I love this story (1), and to be able to share that with a parent is something that can't be replaced. (1), as long as the child is allowed to visit it. (1), or sometimes a stag. A child's imagination is a beautiful wonderland of fun (1), or bear (1), This poem was a very beautiful example of metaphor. the Illustrations were excellent as well. I sometimes would pretend to be different animals; the wolf (1), or England. I wonder what traveling through a book would be like? (1), I love stories about travel! I wish I could just open a book and transported away to Italy (1), this reminds me a lot of my trips to deer camp as a child. At night we would go into the fields with a light and just watch the deer eat and play. Most of the time just watching the deer interact with one another was more fun than hunting. There is someth (1), but on a more personable level. poor Bethany (1), This would be a wonderful story for children who couldn't go out to play! Poor Rosie wants her Gummy Skunk snacks so bad! Charlie is a good friend to try to protect Rosie. We all need someone to look out for us every once in a while. (1), especially if we don't learn from it. (1), and not just from a Native American point of view. Our past will always affect our future (1), reminding me of my Choctaw heritage. This book speaks so much truth (1), This was a cute book ! The author was aiming for a younger audience but it would still appeal to a second or third grade child who loves dragons. The use of water balloons is a fun way to put out a fire as well. (1), I wouldn't want to have to make the choices she has had to make. Owen really has grown up to be willing to sacrifice himself the way he does. (1), it really brings the Mississippi Delta to life. I wish this book had been around when I was growing up. (1), This is another fun book for kids who like science fiction and fantasy mixed! I wish I had a time machine in my garage. This was a really good book for beginning readers! (1), I felt like it told a story that reached far beyond just the illustrations. (1), This one was like "fry Bread" to me (1), This was a good book. It reminded me a little of Harry Potter (1), This book was a wonderful adventure to the zoo and a great way to jog the old imagination. though it is written for younger children (1), I loved reading this book. It had mystery and suspense (1), but I have heard it's an awesome and popular book for kids. so (1), I haven't read this book yet (1), I love that this book combines science and fiction (1), reminds me of old sea chanties a little bit (1), I love this book for inspiration. It's informative (1), I haven't read this book all the way through (1), and it was usually all centered around some good food. I really miss those days and this book really hit home for me. (1), even if they weren't actually related (1), This book really took me back to the way I grew up; where families and friends all come together to form a community. Everyone around you was just like family (1), but there is a recipe in the back and a much deeper explanation of the text to aid teachers in explaining the book to children who don't understand. (1), this was an awesome book to read. It's simple text is really brought to life by the illustrations. Its informative nature is actually based on several different themes. The most prevalent being social studies (1), This is one of the most beautifully illustrated (1), Poor Jaxon (1), This one was really good! (1), This book really brought back memories from my childhood. Mrs. Woodson really has a beautiful way with words. I'll bet a lot of kids start their first day of first grade feeling exactly the same way she did. (1), he has no clue what he's gotten into. I hope Vick's sister doesn't get Jax into trouble. I can't wait to read the next book (1), I hope the other books that follow will be as well written. (1), Kivata is a very curious little girl. maybe she would make a good apprentice if Jaxon doesn't make it back. I wonder how Kivata will deal with Blue? This was actually a really well written series of books (1), and I was always trying to find a place where I could just be myself. Having a good friend helped a lot! (1), I dealt with several bullies (1), this was a surprisingly good book! I can relate to the dragon in this book. Growing up (1), I was afraid she was involved with Johnny and Sylas. (1), we'll see. after reading this book (1), but it also dealt with many life issues that I faced as a kid. I was glad that Mrs. Donaldson was innocent and that Arthur and his mother were the ones who found the brief case instead of Johnny and his brother. Mr. DeSilvio needs to be locked up. I'm gla (1), but I think the older elementary kids through sixth or seventh grade will love it. This was a nice mixture of science fiction and fantasy. I think Boris Karloff would be proud. (1), with Humpty actually coming out of his shell. (1), but this one was really good. I love how this story ends with the "Caterpillar Effect" (1), This book has a really beautiful message. I don't usually like adaptations of older more traditional nursery rhymes (1), it was pretty good. This book kind of has a really cool science fiction theme . (1), with the poetry. I love how the author adds the scientific facts about each poem. I miss being part of nature. Fishing used to be my favorite passed time. (1)
