About My Library

My library is shared with my husband Nathan—a medievalist, classicist, priest, and used book collector of many years. Most of the theology, liturgy, classics, foreign language, and history texts are his acquisitions, as well as most of the literary fiction. About 14% of our joint library is mine, and includes non-fiction on the subjects of food, science, agriculture, history, race, and feminism; a host of cookbooks; science fiction and fantasy; and an ever-growing collection of Nabokoviana.

About Me

I hold a doctorate in Plant Science and a master's degree in Food Science from the University of Arkansas, and currently work as an industry scientist in St. Louis. When not doing research, I'm most likely reading at home bookended by my two cats on the sofa. My favorite genres or topics include Nabokov (he's in a class by himself), sci-fi and fantasy, history, and science.
