I read widely: literary fiction, Italian literature; the occasional romance or biography. I devour mysteries and cookbooks for a change. Lots of Internet news and blog reading; audiobooks, of course. Throw in the occasional memoir or book of poetry. And of course anything written on the box of cereal and all the ingredients on food labels.

Ph.D. in Renaissance Italian literature (minor in Renaissance Italian History of Art). My teaching career ranged from Italian studies to women's studies and alternate views of Western Culture. I lived in Italy for two glorious and amazing years.Am writing full time, a novel and non-fiction book.
