About mePrior to my retirement, I taught law, bioethics, Jewish studies, and religious studies at the University of Wisconsin and staffed public bioethics commissions at both federal and state levels. My interests are quite eclectic, although most of my book collecting falls within the above categories (expansively defined), plus politics, public affairs, and fiction.
I'm a graduate of Harvard College and Yale Law School, now 60ish with some health problems. Unlike many of you, I am not a librarian, but my former wife is--currently Women's Studies Librarian at UW.
About my libraryI've been buying lots of books since my undergraduate days, and have a very hard time letting go of them. I have listed most of my purchases since the early 1990s, but much of my collection (and most classic works) were acquired in the 25 years before that (I started college, and serious book buying, in 1967), and it will take some time until I can get those posted.
