Boring, whiny, and repetitive. I've loved so many of Philippa Gregory's books, but they seem to have gone down hill lately. Unfinished but I might try again later.
I found the book to be ok. I wasn't drawn to any of the characters and really didn't care what happened to them.
This review was written for LibraryThing Early Reviewers.I enjoyed it but not as much as her historical fiction.
I’m not in love with this one as much as the first three, although I still highly enjoyed it. I feel like we haven’t gotten ANYWHERE in the story!
The book was ok. I thought the story was great but it felt very rushed. The author could have taken more time to get into details but then the book would have been very long. I was also uncomfortable with some of the sex scenes. I felt that they were really unnecessary to the story. Ultimately, the book was much more Harlequin romance-y than I was anticipating.
I'm reading this for my Paralegal Internship.
Did not finish. I had to return it to the library!
If you have not read the Tillerman series, Read it!!! One of the most important series I read as a teen.
I know I read this book for an Intro to Lit class my Freshman year of college. I was a bit disappointed because I was expecting to read classics (which I love). This book was ok, I don't really remember much about it.
Honestly disappointing. Some of the stories were great and actually focused on dangerous women but too many stories were from the male point of view and the women barely existed. In some cases the stories were great, but the women weren’t really dangerous. I wish I hadn’t spent the money and borrowed it from the library.
I hated this book. I thought it was absolutely disgusting.
This book was just ok. Its a murder mystery and I figured out who the murderer was pretty early on. It was a quick read and I would recommend it to Jodi Picoult fans. I was a bit disappointed in the ending.
I didn't finish it... I had to return it to the library. however, what I did read, I liked. My rating would probably be higher if I had finished it.
I feel guilty marking this as read. However, I made it to where they kill the dog and then I quit. This book is horrible.
I love the information this book provides but I hate how its presented. It would be a great book for younger readers interested in feminism because it gives a wide overview of feminism but does not delve very deep. I don't like it however, because she swears too much and I would be uncomfortable giving this to a young teenage girl. Also, I think the swearing tries to cover up what I think is poor writing and insufficient research. I might finish this book sometime but I can't seem to pick it up when there is so many good books out there!
