I know people who vociferously hated this book, but I've read it twice and both times I've loved it. The first part is laugh-out-loud funny and the second part was poignant. When I was finished, I just wanted to hug the book to me, which is a good sign that I liked it.
So far, this book is amazing. This is the second book I've read by Gay Talese and this guy weaves the most fascinating stories. A wonderful look at the sexual mores of the United States in the mid-to-late 70s.
