At first I just thought it was one of those books they forced you to read, but it really IS a good book. I recomend it to anyone who likes good books at a higher leval than your average 'young adult' book.
I liked the book but I think it should have boon a little shorter and less wordy.
Excellent book! Great action and amazing characters. My full review of it can be found here.
If I could, I would give it 1.5 stars because, although I didn't like it, it wasn't downright horrible.
In Between Seasons: The time between who you were and who you are destined to be... (Volume 1) by Cassandra Giovanni
I enjoyed this book. I feel that Giovanni did a very good job at writing the book and she came up with some very interesting parts to the book. However, I also feel that the book could have used some more editing. My impression was that the characters from Kate's tribe could have used some more developing to add more depth to them. Additionally, I, personally, would liked to have seen a few more character flaws in the male protagonist. Also, there were a few tiny bits that felt like they could be rewritten a little better. Overall though, none of these problems are major. I simply think that with a bit more polishing, this story could have really shined.
The few issues I have with the book aside, I thought the premise was interesting and I enjoyed how the plot played out. Other than the obvious romance potential between the protagonists, Kate and Hunter, I found that the book was not overly predictable, something I enjoy very much in a book. This book defiantly had some cleverly written lines. I simply would have liked more of them.
Overall, I would recommend this book for a light read. It defiantly is worth it if you are looking for an escape from your normal life. Even though I would not recommend this book if you are looking for amazing literature, I am looking forward to reading Giovanni's future novels and I think that future novels written by her could be amazing literature indeed.

There were a lot of AWESOME lines in this book and by AWESOME, I mean downright hilarious. I also particularly sympathized with Sin.
It took a few pages to really get in to Grimalkin's point of view but once I did I loved it! I found that I particularly liked one of the new characters. Overall it was an excellent book; I can hardly wait for the next one.
First, I feel obligated to note that this book, especially the beginning, is filled with profanity. However, once I got really into the book and the profanity was not so excessive, I found the book to be quite good. (Personally, I find lots of profanity to hinder the descriptions of the story because there are so many more descriptive words that could be used to more precisely indicate the specific details of the story.) In many ways, this book reminded me of the books [b:Angela's Ashes|252577|Angela's Ashes|Frank McCourt|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1348317139s/252577.jpg|2883783] and [b:'Tis|4912|'Tis|Frank McCourt|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1165515800s/4912.jpg|1779262] by [a:Frank McCourt|3347|Frank McCourt|http://photo.goodreads.com/authors/1263585664p2/3347.jpg] except I found [b:Gaston's Secret: the lottery child|15991744|Gaston's Secret the lottery child|Gaston Cavalleri|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1346878050s/15991744.jpg|21748362] to be less depressing.
Overall, I found the book to be pretty interesting. I enjoyed hearing [a:Gaston Cavalleri|6474623|Gaston Cavalleri|http://photo.goodreads.com/authors/1346874237p2/6474623.jpg]'s perspective on life.

There were plot twists and I did not like them. I felt like all the progress that the characters had made in previous books was undone in this book. However, I must say that I did like the book because I love James Patterson's writing. Reading Max's voice is always enjoyable.
It was awesome! I can't wait to read more books by Rachel Vincent!
First and foremost I must say that this book is really good. If I could I would actually give it 4.5 stars (and I am generally somewhat pessimistic when it comes to rating books). Liz Jasper does a very good job of writing a this unique story.
One of my favorite things about this book was that it was not overly predictable. I loved the interesting situations the main character, Crimson ends up in. Also, the writing technique was really good. Liz Jasper wove many colorful imaged with her words. Furthermore, there were a number of nice funny lines mixed in.
The only thing I wasn't a huge fan of was the characters. Don't get me wrong, I truly liked the characters, but I cannot say that I really loved any of them.
Overall, I think the book is wonderful and would recommend it to anyone who wants to try something a little different or someone who loves to have to wonder what will happen next.
