No, you can't read it without reading the previous two, but I do think it's a lot of fun.

Three novellas, rather than a single novel.

Whoever designer the cover for this reissue (I saw some of the older covers) is a genius. This is a FABULOUS cover. Possibly one of the best I've ever seen. I mean, it's perfect.

I got about halfway through and then just lost interest.
