It reads like an essay; not a novel. It made me think it was written as a storyline for a movie.
I loved this book! How could I not when I love Savanna so much?! Anyone who has never been owes it to themselves to visit this beautiful, historic city! It's a world all it's own and like no other.
Very creative story--he makes the Wicked Witch of the West enduring, telling her side of the story. And it does not contradict The Wizard of Oz~the stories intertwine nicely!
I love the stories Jimmy tells, but this book has too many improbable coincidences to really enjoy. The "suspension of disbelief" is just disbelief. It's still not a bad book to (mentally)take you to the tropics!
I couldn't read past the first chapter. First: it's unauthorized and I have doubts as to how accurate the book is, and second: the tone is very negative--seemed like the author was going to bash Jimmy and I didn't want to read that! I could be wrong though--I didn't read it.
This book is very well-organized, informative, and has terrific photos of each species. It makes identification easy!
This book answers questions I haven't even thought to ask yet!! It has lots of photos and easy to follow advise.
