A book whose description immediately drew me in. A unique story created based on the story of an empire, with internal struggles and a threat that extends the story to the second part of the book, which I also want to read as soon as possible. I also liked the fairly authentic names of the characters, as well as certain titles or names of some management departments in the Empire.

The chapters' format, which begins with a passage from Teixcalaani poetry, an announcement issued in the great City, or snippets of conversations between specific characters in the Lsel station, lends the narrative legitimacy and structure.

Every chapter and page was enjoyable to me, and I have no doubt that the author will attract more readers in the future. Fantastic first book!
An intricate novel with a distinct universe crafted by author Ann Leckie. The idea of a society in which artificial intelligence permeates every aspect of life is intriguing. Even more so when AI advances to the point where it can relate to specific individuals. Unlike many science fiction books I've read thus far, this one showed me a "different" world, which is why I was delighted I read it. I'm eager to find out what the upcoming sequels will reveal.
I'm reading McDevitt for the first time. The concept of archaeologists looking for artifacts—not just on the planet they were on, but also on other worlds—was what drew me to the novel. I truly like it, so after I finished reading it, I felt terrific. Space travel, journeys to different space stations or other planets for research that can mimic detective novels, and other elements are all present in this science fiction novel.
I enjoyed the progression of the entire narrative, which began with the sight of a straightforward cup of old coffee.
In addition, the main characters' curiosity led them to pursue certain threads that didn't seem to yield any results.
A novel worth pausing and reading for a while.
A delightfully fast-paced work of science fiction. A thrilling work of military science fiction that prioritizes action over a thorough scientific explanation. As a fan of space opera, I really loved this book and I am looking forward to reading the others in the series. In conclusion, even though you (as a reader) grow to like the main character, I believe that he moves up the military hierarchy a bit too quickly, reaching a record time for rank advancement, which makes him seem a little too perfect. Overall, though, it's a book that is enjoyable to read and isn't at all dull.
A fascinating book on the author's lifelong companionship with cats. A sort of autobiography that focuses only on the lives of the cats she has owned or encountered. This book, which humorously and creatively depicts the personalities of different cats that can end up being devoted friends for a very long time, was enjoyable to read.
An enjoyable book that is simple to read. Five distinct narratives about five distinct individuals that eventually blend together. Even if you are in a more delicate circumstance, this book helps you see things in a positive light. Regardless of whether you are successful in achieving all of your goals, there are some stories that support your personal growth.
A captivating story created by Le Guin, who added another masterpiece to the "Hainish Cycle." This is the 6th book I've read in this cycle, and I think it is the second best after "The Left Hand of Darkness." A wonderful description of two different worlds with two different ideologies. A discontent physicist who leaves one world for the other to continue his work and also get some answers about his society's freedom.

I also loved the alternating chapters presenting both worlds and describing the two so different societies.

Among the best science fiction works I've read so far!
One of the best books Le Guin wrote in the "Hainish Cycle". Love the traveling details she uses in her books. Loved it!
