I heard about this in a podcast and was conned into buying it. I was under the impression it was a historical book, instead it was the reminiscence of several homosexuals, the author included. Talk about being conned multiple times. I would give this ZERO if possible. worst part was I paid almost full retail for this awful tome.
Lance Armstrong is an embarasment to the USA.
An entertaining adventure with a secret Nazi trip over the Arctic, pirate treasure from 500 years ago and a psychotic bunch of Eskimos engaging in a diabolical plot to create Frankenfish.
One of my shoulders hurt for a long time. Then I got this book and discovered that the way I was exercising was the reason my shoulder hurt. the illustrations and techniques helped me to rehabilitate my shoulder in no time. This book is a gem.
It's a solid book that gives good guidance on not hating your job and putting yourself on a path that will be more enjoyable. Even if you own a business you're employed by the company. Since you chose the business to start it's more likely you'll like your job.
This review was written for LibraryThing Early Reviewers. This is quite an interesting tome. I found the selection of King's speeches and the history that was woven with the theme of the speeches informative.
This review was written for LibraryThing Early Reviewers. Is this science fiction, fantasy, a thriller????? Hard to tell. When the story veered over to the plot line for the remainder of the book I had to go back and see if I missed something, alas no I didn't miss something. It's definitely a different kind of story. I would call it weird.
Is there a spy within an Islamic terrorist organization sending intel to the West or does that Islamic terrorist organization have a spy within a Western Intelligence Service?
Would have given a higher score if I was more of a Middle Ages history buff. Weir's biography of Elizabeth of York's granddaughter Queen Elizabeth 1 was better
I really wanted to give this book a 5 star rating. The Cold War reporting on Communist spies infiltrating so many key areas in the U.S. and UK was shocking. Unfortunately when he writes about the Trump-Biden era he has so many incorrect facts it makes one wonder if his original source material is MSNBC or The Daily Kos.
In 200 pages there were several likely suspects and a red herring. A delightful read.
I wish I could give it zero stars. It's one of the worst books I've ever read. The author spends the entire book repeating the same thing about what a great trainer he is yet he's very short on specifics. Don't waste your time and money on this piece of worthless paper.
It's a fast paced, intensely gripping thriller that will keep the reader turning page after page until the early hours of the morning.
It is a well researched biography of John Hancock. The public seem to be influenced by the huge signature of his on the Declaration and being the first to sign it. I was surprised by the details I learned about Hancock and his legacy.
I would give it 6 stars if I could. It reads like a thriller. I felt like I was there in the moment
Depressing book, but war isn't a picnic.
Islamic terrorists spread terror and kidnap the daughter of the US ambassador to London, a Colorado billionaire and friend of POTUS. Gabriel Allon goes into action to find and rescue her before the terrorists kill her. His journey takes him into hell but she is rescued alive and all the terrorists are killed. After recovering from his wounds, the Office concludes planning a wedding is like an Op, and that's what they do.
A compelling story worth reading.

Hard to give a star review. It's dark and grim.
One of the worst books I've ever read, and sadly a friend raved about it motivating me to get it.
Ted Witmer is a wonderful writer whose descriptive text makes one feel as though one is with the Lincoln party on the journey to Washington, DC. His chapters on the return to Springfield in April, 1865 left me misty eyed. A really well written tome.
The Mystic Hand is a fascinating tome on the inner workings of central banks. Well worth reading by those who are interested in how central banks influence monetary policy
