Based on the story and characters of Click Clack Moo, this board book has a funny story of the farm animal going fishing. Adults as well as toddlers will enjoy the humor and comical illustrations from this favorite author/illustrator combination.
Two-page spreads highlight an animal. The left page shows a closeup of the animal, the right page shows the animal and one word - the sound the animals makes. The illustrations are embossed (raised) to give the baby a tactile learning experience.
Shows different children (both boys and girls) and their grandfathers interacting. The illustrations remind me of childlike drawings. The text is semi-repetitive with the changing text in a different color. This book lends itself creative thinking by choosing new words to fill in the text and possibly extending the book with pictures of your own.
Great for parent interaction with small children. Lift-the-flap and textile inserts will keep the baby busy. The book is in board book format which should hold up better to curious babies. At this stage the last page of the rainbow and all the colors may be above the child's learning ability at this time so don't be disappointed if the child skips this page and goes back to the flaps.
