This was a great psychological thriller that kept me on the edge of my seat. The characters in this book are intriguing and the authors keep you guessing about which are the truly evil ones.
Jessica is a 28 year old makeup artist who is struggling to pay her rent and help her family pay medical bills. She is intrigued when she has an opportunity to make some extra money just by answering a few questions on amorality and ethics survey. What could possibly go wrong? Jessica soon finds out that this survey has turned into a dangerous game which reveals many secrets and lies to all involved. A GREAT PAGE TURNER! Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review
Another great read from Ronald Balson, who has become one of my favorite authors. I adore his two main characters, Catherine, an attorney, and Liam, a private investigator. They are a great team and compliment each other well! Mr. Balson's books are always page turners and this new novel does not disappoint. This book takes place mostly in Italy and gives insight about how Hitler impacted Italy during World War II. Along with a great mystery, the author always has strong woman characters in his books. Ada, a young Jewish violinist is the strong female in this book and has a captivating story to tell. I recommend this book highly to anyone who loves historical fiction and a suspenseful mystery.

A beautifully written historical fiction novel. This book told a wonderful story about lost loves and then reclaiming that love.
An Interesting and thought provoking book!
This novel was about a young girl coming of age in the 1930's in London. I found this book to be engaging but tedious at times. Nancy, the main character was frustrated with her life growing up in a small coal town living with her grandparents. She dreams of moving to London so she can be free and independent. She manages to escape to London and is living a Boheman lifestyle but as time goes by She begins to question this lifestyle and many of her choices. The author does a great job describing the times of the 1930's in London. I would recommend this book.

I enjoyed Jessica Knoll's first novel, Luckiest Girl Alive, and was excited to receive an ARC of The Favorite Sister. This novel was not as easy to read as her first book. I had a hard time staying with the story as I felt it was confusing at times and didn't feel connected to the story, especially in the middle of the book. I did finish the book and was glad I did as the ending was quite a surprise. The story was about five successful women starring in a reality show and all five women are quite unlikable characters! All the women are ruthless and would do whatever it takes to stay in the spotlight. Yes, even murder!
I received an ARC from NetGalley and Simon and Schuster for an honest review.
Another wonderful novel by Elin Hilderbrand! A story about identical twin sisters who were separated when their parents were divorced.
No Turning Back is a multi-layered crime mystery that packs a punch and has you wanting to keep turning the pages. The book starts out with Anna Graves, a new single mom who has recently gone back to work. She has taken her daughter to the beach and she is attacked by a young man with a knife. She defends herself and her baby and the attacker dies from the confrontation. This story becomes very complicated and multi-layered from this point. There are 3 generations of Anna's family that are involved in the story. They all have deep, dark secrets that eventually come to light. This is a great mystery which keeps you reading! I would highly recommend this book. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review.
Another fantastic read from Jamie Ford! I have read all of his books and have not been disappointed. Mr. Ford does an excellent job developing his characters and the time and place the story is set. The story begins with Earnest in the early 1900's and goes back and forth between past and present as he tells his daughter, Juju about his tragic young life as a half Chinese orphan who is auctioned off at the 1909 World Fair in Seattle. The World Fair is once again in Seattle in 1962 and brings back many memories for Earnest as his wife battles with memory loss. This is a beautifully written historical novel which transports you to that time in history as if you were there with Earnest. I highly recommend this book.

This was a beautiful but sad romantic love story. It was about first loves and the choices we make in our lives and how they come back to haunt us long after those choices have been made. The story of Gabe and Lucy's love is told over increments of time from Lucy's perspective. They first meet on Sept. 11th 200 and we're able to find comfort from one another during this tragic event. This event had a big impact on both of them. Lucy and Gabe's connection was intense and each found it hard to let that connection go even though their lives took different paths. Jill Santopolo told a beautifully romantic but sad love story. I would definitely read another book from this author. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review.
This was a heartfelt book about a couple, Josh and Claire who are going through a rough time in their life. They desperately want to have a family but after coming to terms that this is not to happen they want to move forward. The love and support Josh and Claire give one another during this time in their life is beautiful. Then the unexpected happens and Claire learns she is pregnant. Claire must make a decision on saving her baby or herself. The ending pulls at your heart but the love between Claire and Josh and the support they receive from friends and family during this time is heartwarming. This is the first book I have read from this author. She writes a beautiful story with well-developed characters. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review.
This is the first book I have read from this author and it was a wonderful read! It was full of wonderful characters and rich relationships. Delia, the main character lives in Maine and works for Maine's Child Services agency. Delia is ready to move on from this job and open a bakery with her sister. She has one last case, to place a child who was found wandering down the highway. Delia is moved to find out who this child belongs to and what has happened to her. The plot is full of twists which were fascinating and I found it hard to put down. Great book!

This was a wonderful heartbreaking debut novel that was based on the lives of the author's family. This is a story of the Kurc family who survived World War II and all of it's atrocities. This book follows the Kurc family, the parents and their five children beginning in 1939,in Radom, Poland. The five children are following very different paths which makes the story even more intriguing. If you are a fan of historical fiction you will love this book! Not to be missed! Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC of this novel.
This book was set in Seoul during the 1970's.The story centers around two young women, Jisun and Namin from different socioeconomic backgrounds but each trying to find their own way in these tumultuous times. Jisun grew up in the upper class and is trying to break away from her family and Namin grew up with parents who own a food cart and she is trying to improve her family's life who are struggling to survive. I enjoy reading books that help me learn about different cultures and different time periods of these countries. This book did help me to understand the struggles of Seoul in the late 1970'S but I somehow found the story lacking in substance. I did enjoy the last half of the book but I found myself not as engaged with the characters and their stories as I had eished. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review.
Unfortunately, I did not enjoy this book as well as I did Megan Miranda's first book, All The Missing Girls. This book seemed to drag out for me and I lost interest in the final conclusion. Leah, is forced to resign from her reporter job in Boston and moves to a small town to start her life over. She moves with her old friend, Emmy. Emmy steals her identity and we are left to wonder if Emmy really exists! I found myself not engaged in this story or the main characters but will certainly give Megan Miranda another try as I enjoyed her first novel. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review.
I was beyond thrilled to receive an ARC from Netgalley of Sara Jio's new book. I have read all of her books and loved them! This book was not an exception! I loved this one too! This book stayed with me long after I turned the last page. This story is about a woman named Kailey who seems to be engaged to the perfect man, Ryan. Her past comes back to haunt her when she sees a homeless man outside a restaurant as her lost love, Cade who disappeared from her life 10 years ago. The story alternates between the past with Cade and the present with Ryan. Who will she choose? This story also tells the plight of the homeless and the mentally ill who find themselves on the streets. This was a tender, beautiful love story that I couldn't put down! Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review.
Thank you to Librarything for a copy of this book from their giveaway program. This was a great story and I enjoyed reading about these women who were an inspiration to many during the depression and gave hope to people who were struggling during this time period. I did struggle at times to connect with all the storylines. I did learn about the history of women's basketball and the struggles they faced. Many factions thought women should not be playing the sport or any sport for competition. After reading this book I had a better understanding about the development of women's athletics as well as the life people faced in the 1930's.

You will need some tissues ready when you read this book! A single Mom who is raising her teenage daughter with no support system is dying of ovarian cancer. This book deals with many issues, including rape, spousal abuse and anxiety disorder. The author does an excellent job writing about these issues along with great storytelling. This story is heartbreaking and will stay with you long after you finish the book. This is the 1st book I have read from Sally Hepworth but I will be looking forward to more from this author. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Thank you to Librarything for a copy of this book from their giveaway program. Tess GerritSen is always a good read and she does not disappoint with this book.I love historical fiction and a mystery and this book delivers both of these genres. This book takes place both in Italy and the United States. It also takes place in present day and during World War II. The story revolves around a piece of music that was bought in an antique store in Rome. This is not atypical Tess Gerrit Sen novel but as a masterful storyteller it works quite well and kept me turning the pages!

I received a copy of the Trapped Girl from Netgalley. Many thanks to Thomas and Mercer and Robert Dugoni.
I have read several books by Robert Dugoni and I have enjoyed all of them and this one did not disappoint! This book had an excellent plot and we'll developed characters. This is the 4th book in this series, but can easily be read if you haven't read the previous books. Tracy Crosswhite, a detective is called to a murder scene where a woman is found dead in a crab pot off of Puget Sound. This is a suspenseful murder mystery, where there are many twists and turns. It kept me turning the pages to find out what happens. If you like a good mystery, I would highly recommend this book.
This is a timely novel about an undocumented woman, Soli who crosses the border from Mexico into the United States to find a better life for herself. This book was not only about an undocumented immigrant's plight and their hard journey but also covers infertility and foster parenting. The author does a great job with presenting two contrasting lives and cultures that are complete opposite of one another. Soli, is the undocumented immigrant who finds herself pregnant and finds that the love for her child is the only good thing in her life. Rishi and Kavya, are of Indian descent and after failing to conceive a child decide to foster parent. The one constant in this story is the love both these women have for Iggy. This was a heartfelt story that stays with you long after you have finished reading. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review.
This was an enjoyable book about family and the secrets they keep. This was also a mystery that kept me turning the pages to find out how the story ends. This is a story about two sisters who are from Blue Mountain PA who have kept a secret for a decade that has torn them apart. They come together again as their Dad is losing his memory and needs their help. The secret they have kept for years to keep their family from falling apart will come back to haunt them. The author does a wonderful job developing this story while using great description of this part of the country. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC of this novel.

This book was a great psychological thriller and had great character development. The story was told from three different points of view, Del, the sherif who is investigating the murder, Hattie, the high school senior who has been murdered and Peter, the English teacher who is involved with Hattie. Be prepared for an emotional ride and lots of twists and turns. The ending is quite a surprise! Throughout this story. I wondered if only these characters had made different choices things could have turned out differently. Putting the mystery aside, this is a story about the consequences of our actions and the affect it has not only our lives but those who we love. I would highly recommend this book. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This book deals with the aftermath of the death of a child. Zoe and Edward have been dealing with the grief of losing their only child for over a year ago and it is driving them apart instead of bringing them together. Zoe's parents gift them with a weekend trip to Paris, hoping that the trip will help bring them together. I felt this story moved too slowly at times and became frustrated with Zoe and Edward for some of their decisios. In the end, I wanted to read on to discover if this couple could survive this tragedy and find their way back to each other. Where there is love, is there still hope? Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review.
This Child of Mine is a book about two mothers who have made horrible mistakes but love their daughter, Sophie. The plot of this story felt unrealistic at times but still made for an engaging read. At times I was angry at the choices both mothers have made but circumstances in their lives have brought them to these choices. We as the reader must decide if these choices are justified. This was an interesting book which mixes humor with some heavy issues. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This was the first book I have read from Kelly Rimmer and it won't be my last! This was a heartbreaking story and very well written. This book was written by two perspectives in alternate voices of two women who loved the same man, David. Olivia, the wife knew a different man than Ivy, his mother. This book was an emotional roller coaster and beautifully written. Towards the end of the story you get an unexpected twist that made me gasp! This book is a must read! Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review.
This was a good psychological thriller and kept me in suspense until the end! Tara Logan lives a seemingly quiet life in a small neighborhood with her husband, Noah and her two children Rosie and Spencer. Tara has a glass of wine with her neighbor, Lee while her husband is out of town. She wakes up naked in bed next to Lee who has been stabbed to death. She is unable to remember anything from that night and makes the decision to remain silent. The story unfolds from there and her family life starts to unravel while many secrets and lies are exposed. This is definitely a page turner and many times I thought I had figured out who the killer was only to realize I was wrong.I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good psychological thriller. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review. A beautifully written story about four lonely people who find one another in a small Texas town in the late 1950's. Catherine Hyde developes strong characters that as we read their story we come to love. This story tackles the subject of racial prejudice and how four people come together to create an untraditional family. This book comes at a time when we all could find our faith restored in the human race. This was the first novel I have read from this author but it won't be my last. It was a great book!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review. The Girl Before is a good psychological thriller about two women who do not know one another but seem to be drawn to the same choices. The chapters alternate between their perspectives which follow two different timelines. This novel started out slow but it gained momentum in the last half and had me quickly turning the pages. This book was enjoyable and definitely worth the read.
