I'd really love the ability to review series and authors. :D

I like both of these ideas. I think the second one would be possible, but I struggle to see how the first could be achieved at the moment. Hopefully, in the fullness of time, LT will be able to support 'series' as a concept, but I'm not holding my breath.

Just a teaser of a little somethin' I was doing last week. :)
The ability is there, we just haven't quite pulled the trigger on it yet. And yes, we plan on attaching some stuff to the series, so reviews isn't out of the question (though I admit that we haven't talked about them in particular).

I really looks nice and clean. Now, how will we resist the urge to reproduce all of the information at fantasticfiction.co.uk?

#3 Much requested, I like it.

What's the "don't hold your breath" release date? User compiled for each series as per CK?

I don't think I'd want author reviews, because authors write such varied stuff sometimes. It would be harsh to dismiss all of someone's work because you happened to find the one book they'd written in a style/genre that didn't appeal.

6: Yes, they are CK-driven data. Tim just emailed me and said that he'd like to take over development on Series so the release date is whenever he feels that it's ready to release. :) How's that for vague?

And that isn't "mock up" data. That's real data put in by me using CK and the Series page is database driven, including the related-series section that you see on the Narnia series pages.

Tim's going to take that foundation and build on it.

I'm sure there are a number of worms just itching to get let out of their cans. But still, this looks like a useful addition. Thanks!

Oh, that's exciting. I'm assuming that once it's up and running, the work page will show something like "This is the Nth book in the Whatever Series"?

10: Ohhhh I hope so! *techy-squee!*

I really am a nerd, if this can get me THIS excited!

Ooooooh! This excites me! :D

reading_fox--If someone takes the time to actually review an author (and not just their books), then it's a pretty good bet that they've read at least a couple of books. And a bad review can be just as illuminating as a good review, as to why the person reading the review would or wouldn't like it. JMO, of course. :)

Yeah, that is really cool. What would be cool too is a complete-o-meter to see how many users have complete sets of a series
