As promised in the other thread... some images inside Wookey Hole... no, not that Wookey Hole... the Wookey Hole caves ;-)
First up let's start with something green...

And now for something purple (just because ;-)

that tiny white light in the distance is where they keep...

...the Cave Cheese! (So dangerous they keep it behind bars!)

One last Cheese Close up, just for Clam ;-)

All in all, it turns out that Wookey Hole is very much a Green Dragon kinda place :-D

Holy Steaming Dragon Droppings, Batman! Those are great photos, Tane.
*truly appreciates the extra cheese shot*
So, would you say it was worth the visit? And did you get to sample any of those divine looking cheeses?

I've been to Wookey Hole caves and to Cheddar Gorge! Just thought I'd share that but I don't have any pictures.

Yes, I'd say it's certainly worth a visit - I haven't been there in quite some time... I'd like to go back to get some more photo's (need to practice my long exposure shots). Regrettably I didn't get any of the cheese... however, they apparently have a deal with a UK supermarket to distribute it (the cheese in the pictures above has been there for 10 years), so I may just have to chase some down.

When did you go? Did you enjoy it? Was it busy? I managed to time it to suit my needs, it was very quiet and I could avoid getting people in my photos :-)

We went in the summer but while school was still in so it wasn't as busy as it could have been but still fairly busy. We climbed the Jacob's Ladder steps too and I was overtaken by some very fit and active pensioners.
We did enjoy it, we took a picnic and bought some local cheese to eat with it but our photo's didn't come out because of a fault on the camera.
We used to live in Yeovil so we were close enough to go again but somehow we never got around to it. I would like to go back one day though.

This is a truly remarkable place to see. Thank you. We should have a large Green Dragon reunion here sometime off in the future so all we states-siders can save up the money to afford such a nice trip. Is that cheese exported at all?

Yay! I used to visit Wookey Hole when I was little, on our way down to visit my grandparents in Minehead :-)
It was where I learnt the difference between stalagmites and stalactites. And there's a witch and eeeeverything!
And a paper mill...

Which as every on knows is that mites crawl up and tights fall down........ ;-)
That green photo is really depressing. It is supposed to be a pure white/cream rock formation, but because of the continued light exposure has allowed algae to grow on it. Not natural cave flaura!
I haven't seen the cheeses when I visited.

No, I was taught a long time ago how stalactites hold tite to the ceiling and stalagmites mite get up to meet them and then ...

I was taught using the mnemonic device stalaCtite for ceiling and stalaGmite for ground.

Don't be too depressed about the green one Reading, I green'd it up, for the sake of the Green Dragon, I've attached the original to make amends ;-) Having said that, you're right, there is a lot of algae growing around the man-made light sources...

Oh, this is too funny, Tane.
