This is a continuation of the discussion of the recent BookMooch changes (new-style Inventory, new-style Wishlist, etc).
What will the coming weeks bring? More comprehensive book covers? A new-style Pending page? A revamped History page?

I'm copy/pasting my most recent post on the blog on BM.... Seriously, am I the only one bothered by this? Is it really just me?
John, I'm sorry if I seem rude by shouting, but I was feeling like I wasn't being heard, like my posts were being ignored, and that makes me feel like shouting. I posted multiple times about this specific problem in the earlier threads about these changes, with no response. I don't mean to be rude, I'm just very frustrated.
Having one bookmark for wishlist and one bookmark for save-for-later, and only going to those pages through the bookmarks, does seem to work. I think it's a crappy work-around, though; I shouldn't have to bookmark specific pages on the site just to keep the settings the way I want. When I mark a setting it should stick. I understand you think this is the best way, I just don't understand the logic behind it. When I click "show related editions" on my wishlist, logically I want it to show related editions, right? Why should that setting change on my *wishlist* just because I change it on my save-for-later, which is a completely different list and *used* to be separate from wishlist?
I haven't heard anyone else complaining about this... Am I really the only one bothered by this? It's just so frustrating and seems like I have to take extra steps now to keep settings the way I put them, which is really counter-intuitive and stressful (and I know it's one small thing on one website, but I do get stressed easily).

I read through the 210 comments on this thread, and spotted a few bugs mentioned in the conversation.
I've made some fixes and reply to some messages below.
It's great that you guys have a lively conversation going here! However, it would make my life a bit easier if you let me know of actual bugs or misfeatures via the main BookMooch forum itself. I'm pretty busy with programming that I don't get over to this forum all that often. That would also ensure that things you don't like actually get heard by the Guy In Charge.
And with that said (ahem, written), here are some replies to your comments:
"There should be a way to show/unhide previously-hidden individual related-edition Wishlist entries. Right now, if you hide a related-edition entry by mistake, it seems to be hidden forever."
If you remove the main book from your wishlist and re-add it, all the related edition suppressions will be reset. This is how wishlist email notifications work too and this fact is mentioned there. Sorry: this could definitely be clearer.
"109: I wonder if removing the book from your wishlist then adding it back in would fix the issue of having accidentally hidden a related edition?"
Yes.
"2. When sorting the Wishlist by Count, it should actually sort it by "Count, then by Author, Title, Added". Right now the sort is unstable - it sorts by Count but then randomly within Count. Random sort results aren't useful. In general, when sorting on any column, all of the other columns should be included in the sort too, to avoid unstable sort results. The order of the secondary sort columns doesn't need to be configurable (just hardcode something reasonable or go from left to right)."
You're right, that wasn't useful.
I've changed sorting so that the secondary sort is on the columns from left-to-right (i.e. Author's last name first, then book title)
For example, now if you sort in Descending order on Count, all books with 0 Count will sort by Author's last name, also in Descending order (Z->A).
"On the Inventory page dropdown, there are items to ShowMoreDetail / ShowLessDetails (sic)."
Whoops, bad grammer. Me fix.
"I can't search my save-for-later. Whatever search term I enter, it just turns up the whole list again. Search on the wishlist does work."
Fixed now. Sorry about that.
"Does anyone know how to get the 'show more detail' on other people's inventories? I used to be able to sort by the date they had added the books"
The pull down menu on inventory is there to do this, but you have to be logged in. The inventory and wishlist views have fewer features available if you're not logged in. The reason for this is that the "show more details" setting is "sticky" and associated with your account, so it doesn't work if you're not logged in.
Happy mooching!

Question for the group:
Is anyone having mooches show up on their wishlist in the past day or so??

Yes, a couple came up for me yesterday.
9MyriadBooks
On the wishlist page.
I've recently received active notification by RSS and email, too. The latest I've received notice of by RSS was on Oct 19th, but I seem to have trashed all of email notifications out of my account.

actually, the drug store just called to say my book is in, so I'm going to walk over & get it.
My town is so small, I have to get my books from the drugstore's magazine rack!
fwiw, the book is The Reckless Bride by Stephanie Laurens. It is due out on the 26th, but sometimes her books get out early.

#6 and #10,
I don't think you're alone. I believe my Wishlist is broken (not showing all mooch opportunities) too. I check my modest-sized Wishlist often, and I've had many fewer "hits" than normal, since the upgrade.
Last night my RSS said a book was available (simple situation - in my country, active user, not reserved, etc). Before mooching it, I refreshed my Wishlist, verified RelatedEditions = On, but for this book it had Count = 0 (!). This was incorrect, since the book was available and I was able to Request it. I didn't wait very long to mooch it, so I don't know if it would have shown up on my Wishlist eventually (in the way that books usually take several minutes to show up on RSS).
If this is a bug, it is a stinker - silent but deadly.

Not sure if this is the same thing, but I noticed once that the copies said 1, but there was no "mooch" next to it, but when I clicked on the book anyway, it was available. This may have been a glitch or fixed cause I haven't noticed it again lately.

You have to go to your wishlist and find it in the drop-down menu (where the 'settings' option is). I really wish there was an easier way.

Thanks! I never would have thought of that (although I must have if I did it before- yikes).

I don't know about anyone else, but I really liked it (for that very brief amount of time during all of the changes) when my inventory page did NOT also have my pending 'sends' on it. I would love to see a toggle in the drop down menu or some way that allows for that. It kind of seems redundant to have those showing when I can just go to my pending page for that. When I go to my inventory page I want to see just what the public sees. Or, at the very least, the option to do so.
Oh, and now that the drop downs are gone on the wishlist/save-for-later, I miss not being able to just move a book or two from the wish list to my save-for-later page. I can't always mooch them right away when they come up and if they are still there after a week, I try to move them over until I can mooch.
Thanks for all of the changes, John!

21: Just take the m out of your inventory page to see only the moochable books. That's what I do. :)
As for the wishlist to saveforlater and vice versa, you can always go to the detail page and move books.

go to a book page.
on the right hand side, there are "current prices" listed for amazon. US & UK
SURPRISE!!!!!
I don't think that I like this.
We trade/share/give our books without regard to price.
If someone looks & it shows that there book is worth $$ to them via amazon or wherever, are they going to post it on BM?
Edited to add: John has blogged about it.
I've commented here. That's enough.

23>>> OOOO, I like it! There are many books I despair of every seeing up for offer on BM. It is nice to be able to go here and say.. "Oh my! Someone wants to sell this book for .50!" (plus 3.99 shipping) and then grab if it I am so inclined.
But that is just me. I figure if someone wants to try their hand at selling on Amazon or the like, then they can do that. Just because something is worth $$ according to Amazon marketplace, doesn't necessarily mean that someone else will pay that amount for it.

Oo. And in bright red.
I don't know if it's a bad thing, though. I don't consider it a bad thing to be reminded that that a book that's been on my wishlist for years with no one coming up to give it away is available for $0.01 on Amazon. (Mind, I'd sing a different tune if the book was only available for $1234.)

I agree with Skittles on this one, but maybe that's because I've had a couple of people pull out of mooches and ask me to buy the books at whichever site they listed it on. I don't mind links to purchase on *insert list of sites here* but having the prices right up front - I dunno, isn't that partly why all books are 1 point, regardless?
27Bcteagirl
In my opinion this will just encouarge newer members to ask for more points for books that are 'worth more'. Not worth it.
28Mareofthesea
I'm not exactly sure what the purpose of this is. If I wanted to buy a book, I would buy it.
29Heather19
AGREE with 27/28. Very much.
BM is for book-*trading*. If someone lists a highly-wishlisted book and then sees they can get $20 for it on Amazon, they're going to pull it!
I understand the whole BM/Amazon connection, but why do something that's going to encourage people *not* to list their books on BM?
*sigh*
I'm liking these new changes less and less and less.

I hate it, too, and have expressed opinion on the blog as Lman has - the whole Bookmooch culture seems to be changing. I don't mind change if it fits the concept of what Bookmooch is supposed to be but this is getting very discouraging with all these, *to me* not helpful changes. Its still a big drag not to see my wishlist on one page. Maybe there is now and I'll check that again, but I don't see what was wrong with the way it all was before???? The really bad stuff still exists - we still see books as available that aren't available (not to your country, for example) - shouldn't that kind of thing be worked on instead of pricing which has nothing to do with the concept of bookmooch? I'll stop now. Its sad.
36highdesertlady
Thank you, silverbooks!

Oh, i hate this soooo much! And now people can list books in their inventory that they will theoretically buy from some Amazon merchant if the book is mooched from them. And this is fine!
Here's what I posted on the forum. I was really as nice as I could be, but I am unhappy about BookMooch moving from a book-based mooching community to an money-based Amazon-adjunct overnight.
If someone decides to list a bunch of books listed on Amazon, they will still get the same tenth of a point that people get who actually own the book in their inventory. Will BookMooch set up a system that removes the Amazon book from someone's inventory when the merchant sends it to someone else, or will the moocher have to constantly check on that book to make sure it's still available? What safeguards are there to stop someone from simply listing a bunch of theoretical books now that we no longer have to have them available for mailing anymore? This is a big change to BookMooch culture.
The pricing of books right on our wishlist is also a huge shift in the culture of BookMooch and I'm surprised that this was presented as a "done deal" rather than letting us think about whether we wanted this first. You are certainly free to do as you want with the site, but now it's a purely commercial adjunct to Amazon, rather than a community-based site, where every book was valued equally.
I can see this hurting international moochers. They already get the "why should I send you this book when I can buy it for less than it costs to mail it" often enough; when the book's advertised as costing a less than a dollar, many will not pause to realize that the book is expensive in that other country, if it's available at all.
If I want a book and I haven't been able to get it on BookMooch, I am clever enough to find it elsewhere. This is a paid advertisement for Amazon and I would much rather continue to send BookMooch an annual check than belong to the Amazon Book Swap Site.
Please don't do this!

>38 RidgewayGirl: Very well said, Ridgeway! I went over and read John's announcement and was appalled. I wonder whose move this was, his or Amazon's. It really changes the whole focus of BM.
ETA: I went back and posted the following:
What a disappointing development. With Amazon data so blatantly displayed, BM is no longer going to be a haven from the commercial aspects of publishing and a place to play in the company of other book lovers. BookMooch has been a fun place to find unusual titles and maybe, just maybe, a desired book which would cost a fortune to buy elsewhere. I think this will encourage people to think more commercially about their holdings and find alternative places to list (and sell) their less common books. Certainly their right, but not the reason BM exists and we all use it, is it?
If we're now going to have Amazon prices for everything, with the real reason being to help people find books at the lowest price, let's add in ebooks, local bookstores and library holdings, and other trading sites. It definitely feels like the real reason is this one: And of course, Amazon pays BM 8% on book sales, so this is a way to raise funds while providing a helpful feature. If so, geez, just come out and say you need money. Or will this mean all the "give a little" folks can save their money now because BM will be just another offshoot of Amazon? It was probably a naive thought, that BM wasn't commercial, but it's been a nice fantasy.

2:
I'm also vexed by the new page settings, but for different reasons. You would like to improve their function (e.g. different pages deserve distinct settings) and I would like to improve their form (e.g. it is counterintuitive that changing a setting from the Inventory page also has the side-effect of changing the appearance of the Wishlist page). If the Pending page gets changed to a tabular layout, it will likely get the same settings treatment too.
I am encouraged that John has continued to improve these pages, almost daily. The dropdown menus are better organized, and their wording has been improved; redundant settings have been removed. The tabular layout packs a lot more information on the page, and the ability to sort is nice. The pages are more compact and load more quickly. I like the new feature to Export my Wishlist (always a good idea to have a backup). I also print my Wishlist out, to use as a "shopping list" when I visit the used bookstore.
As of this writing, I see a couple of bugs:
1. On the Wishlist page, "Show moochable now" does not show available Related Editions (!), even if the display of Related Editions is enabled. This renders "Show moochable now" useless to anyone who is interested in related editions (which is almost everyone). If you are using "Show moochable now", you are likely missing mooch opportunities.
2. The sort-on-author could be further improved. A book by "Maria von Trapp" will sort like "Trapp" rather than "von Trapp". A book by "Victor E. Amend (Editor)" will sort like "(Editor)" rather than "Amend". This is a minor mis-feature (great term, John!) unless your pedantic juices are flowing.
The missing Wishlist page RSS link (icon) to include Related Editions has been fixed.

On the closed thread, someone asked:
"Where is the "search wishlist" function on the wishlist page? It doesn't seem to be in the drop down list??? I'm signed in and it's not there... (I know you can search via Advanced Search but I usually go to the wishlist page. At least it was quick to access on the drop down list rather than having to go to the bottom, but for some reason I can't find it today). Thanks."
At the top of the Wishlist page, there is a dropdown menu. About halfway down the menu is the "Search Wishlist" option that you are looking for. It is available when you are looking at your own Wishlist, and also when you are looking at someone else's Wishlist.

#45: what browser are you using? and what version?
mac or pc? which OS version?
sometimes it is a browser conflict. old version/new version.

Mozilla Firefox 3.6.12 (latest version I assume), PC, vista, not my computer so ordinary font size everything except in browser itself, zoom function in MF increased. Perhaps the menu programming is cutting off something if there's words above 'Your save for later'? It doesn't show anything above it and does not scroll up.
48highdesertlady
I have a pc with windows xp; use firefox v 3.6.11 and it is working fine for me.
49MapleWalnut
That is really odd. It seems like your browser is "remembering" an older version of the dropdown for that page, and mixing it up with the new one.
The current Wishlist dropdown should look like this:
- nnnn books -
Show moochable now
Hide related editions (or Show related editions)
Hide book covers (or Show)
Hide book details (or Show)
----
Search wishlist
Add to wishlist
Import into wishlist
Your save-for-later
----
Export your wishlist
Empty your wishlist
Another's wishlist
Settings
Something to try: Logout of BookMooch, close all tabs, clear Firefox history, exit Firefox entirely, restart Firefox, log back into BookMooch and check your Wishlist page now. If that doesn't work, reboot Windows?, try another browser?

If there's all that above Your save-for-later, then it obviously is not showing at that font size, or else the programming for the menu is ignoring that it is at the top of the page and opens upwards, and shows no scroll bar for going up either... When signed out it does show everything but that's because the text is 'normal' not 'xlarge'. Could be something fixable. It is mentioned in the BookMooch Blog. Has nothing to do with firefox, restarting, removing cookies, logging out/in etc. has no effect.
51MapleWalnut
OK, I see it now. It has to do with screen resolution versus text size. My screen has modest vertical resolution (800). To reproduce it, I set my Wishlist text size to xxLarge, and used Firefox's View Zoom (ctrl +) to enlarge browser text until it was really large -- only 8 lines of the Wishlist were visible. At this point the dropdown menu drops upward instead, and the menu is truncated so only the last 4 dropdown items are visible.
I believe that the behavior of dropdown menus is largely controlled by the browser (e.g. Firefox) rather than BookMooch's page layout, so there may not be a lot that they can do.
Two things that worked for me -- temporarily drag the entire browser window about halfway down the screen, leaving space above the window frame. The dropdown will still drop upward, but now all menu items are visible. Or -- temporarily Zoom Out to temporarily reduce text size, use the dropdown menu, Zoom back In.

On my wishlist with xlarge and zoom and author sorting, only six entries are visible. Reducing text size slightly (control + scroll wheel on mouse) does make the drop down list go downwards rather than up. Reducing text size so that seven rather than six entries shows, works in triggering the menu to go down. Silly!! So it's the browser?! This menu problem only happened after the export change, I think, with the additional items on the menu.

Yep, it's the browser. There are more items on the dropdown now, so it makes sense that your issue appeared after the changeover to the new-style Wishlist. You might want to ask them about scrollbars, but I think they are already doing all that they can do with this dropdown. Glad to hear that reducing text size works around the problem.

It only happened after the export option was added, I think. Anyway so long as it still works by reducing text size slightly then it should not be a problem.

If you haven't been keeping up with the BookMooch blog, John has said that the real reason behind adding Amazon pricing is that Amazon has required it. I'm a little pissed at Amazon, actually, and am switching over to B&N for my online ordering. I used to go through BookMooch into Amazon so that BookMooch could get a benefit off of my addiction, but I'm going to give my money to a company not behaving like a bully. I know that will have no effect at all on Amazon, but I will feel better.
56Bcteagirl
Well that does suck. Guess it is Indigo and Abe books for me from now on (And the locally owned non online bookstore of course!)
57dudes22
>55 RidgewayGirl: - I have to agree with you - I haven't been ordering much because my addiction has been filled recently with BM and FOL sales, but I can't see me ordering from Amazon anymore. I also know it probably won't make a big difference to them, but I'll feel better about it.
58Heather19
I know Amazon is supposidly the most complete, end-all-be-all book source on the net, but between BM and LT I have come to despise them. "Bully" is exactly the world for it, and I'm fairly glad I've never shopped there at all.
59TheDivineOomba
Amazon sucks. But, they do fund BookMooch with commissions. So, by shopping elsewhere, BookMooch looses money. Also, does anybody know if BookMooch gets commissions when I buy an item from a Third-Party seller using Amazon?
60markwp
Right Heather, just look at the promotion/wars over ebooks Amazon and Apple are engaged in, both are acting as bullies on this issues and many others, to say the least. With authors and smaller publishers losing the most.
John was writng about the prohibition on advertising for other online books sites, not stating that Amazon required him to display prices more prominently, which they did not.
Yes, Oomba, any purchase through Amazon for which Bookmooch is used as a gateway generates the 8% reward.

And it's not just books, right? If I click a BookMooch book link into Amazon, and buy a waffle iron instead, does BookMooch still get a commission?
If I've already decided (for better or worse) to buy something from Amazon, I'd like BookMooch to benefit. Are there any tips to ensure that BookMooch gets the commission from an Amazon transaction?
For example, in which of these cases will BookMooch earn a commission (I'm guessing #1 yes, #2 yes, #3 no, #4 no):
1. I navigate to Amazon via BookMooch, put an item in my cart, and checkout, all while staying logged in to Amazon.
2. Same as #1, but the item is a gift that is shipped to someone else.
3. I navigate to Amazon via BookMooch, put an item in my cart, logout of Amazon, return later (not via BookMooch), login, and checkout.
4. I navigate to Amazon via BookMooch, put an item on my Amazon Wishlist, logout of Amazon, return later (not via BookMooch), login, put the Wishlisted item in my cart and checkout.
Is there any way for the shopper to verify that the commission is applied, either before or after completing the transaction?
With the holiday shopping season approaching, perhaps John or someone should do a posting reminding people "It's not just books..." and "When buying on Amazon, how to conduct your transaction so BookMooch benefits..."?

To be safe, make each entry into Amazon via Bookmooch, they do not let customers know that there has been a reward given.
There are some limits on certain items, but the best policy would be to always use BM as a gateway if you want to help out in this way.

I didn't know it worked also for other items than books. I buy a bit of children's stuff via Amazon.fr, like toys or furniture, so could try going via BM.
I think if people knew about that (and also about BM getting a commission even when you buy from second sellers) it could be a good thing.

Yes, this is news to me as well. I don't buy books at all anymore except from thrifts and library sales, but I'm thinking of finally getting a big flatscreen TV and would love for the "reward" to get to BM. A prominent reminder would be a good idea.

Speaking of wishlists, is it just me, or do changes made to one's wishlist update slowly?
I've been trimming down my WL, but I'm still getting notifications for books that are no longer on my WL - several weeks later after I've taken them off...

I posted my thoughts on the new, prominent Amazon pricing earlier today. My post has been removed. Has BookMooch ever done this before? Taken down the opposing viewpoint so that the only comments visible are positive? It seems odd to ask for comments and then not allow any discussion.

#70: To me, taking down some posts is a given... on any board. I didn't read your post, so I don't know anything about it, but I've been on boards where the "take down" ratio is much greater than LT or BM or anywhere regularly post right now.
While we may think about "free speech", most boards are not public areas. They are 'owned' by individuals or private groups/companies, etc. and while it is frustrating, maddening, &/or not fair... it is their 'area' and they have the right to determine what messages are viewable.
I'll put it this way: If you had a sign in your front yard stating your views "green & weed free mowed lawns" & someone came along & put a sign next to it saying "let the grass grow" you wouldn't leave it there, would you? I look at message boards/forums the same way.
I don't like it, but I understand it.

It feels dishonest when comments are asked for, but the only ones shown are those agreeing with the changes. My comments were not even remotely objectionable.
I guess I'd viewed BookMooch as an honest and aboveboard site and that the forums were a conversation. Sure, it's John's site, but why ask for opinions when they are not at all wanted?
I've been a BookMooch stalwart and haven't used any other sites, but this does give me pause. At least the other sites are clear in that they are for-profit and uninterested in community.

Earlier there was a comment requesting support ("someone please help me with this issue...") posted in John's blog. That comment was removed too. Hopefully they advised the user to contact support. That particular message wasn't objectionable, but I understand why it was removed. If people got in the habit of posting help requests there, it would quickly get overrun and lose its intended value as a blog...
So you're not alone. I thought your post was fine -- no strong language and you didn't attack anyone personally -- but it may have just hit a nerve (during a stressful system update).
We are fortunate to have both avenues of expression (LT and BM) available to us!

My wishlist is loading so very slowly now. I have less than 1100 books on it, and it should not take this long to load. I'm pretty sure it's because of the Amazon thing, which tbh, ticks me off more and more. John's hands are tied because Amazon wishes to spread it's influence and keep Google away, but dang it! Very unimpressed here. I've turned off the prices feature, but that still doesn't seem to be helping. This is just so very sad.
78markwp
I'm not sure it was removed, I would be surprised if it was actually... Only posts off topic might be, otherwise it seems most likley the final step to add the post might have been skipped (I've done that...)
Most of the comments in the last thread were against pricing and many in the new one.. Try posting the same comment again to be sure Ridgewaygirl.
edit: okay, I see someome else read it, so you may be right.. Still, you can clearly still post, so continue to do so if you have an opinion either way.

Apparently my comment from earlier, in which I stated that I felt the majority of users disliked this feature, was also deleted.
This right here might make me turn away from BookMooch forever. Deleting abusive/mean posts is understandable, but deleting disagreeable posts with no warning? THIS IS WRONG. I am VERY upset right now.
John seems to have turned away from the open book-trading website that BM used to be, and in my eyes this is yet another example of the site becoming something I want no part in.

Well, from John's post it looks like he might have deleted a couple comments, I've not seen him do that before, but I would be surprised if he were to make a regular habit of doing so, and of course you can continue to post away if you wish.
81RidgewayGirl
There's no point posting just to have it removed. It's John Buckman's site and he can edit/delete/censor as he chooses.

Sorry I missed reading your comment before it was taken down Ridgewaygirl...
I went and posted, will see if they take it down as well or not.

Is anyone else having serious trouble opening their wishlist? It's taking me over 2 minutes so far, and it is still not open!
86Bcteagirl
Mine is still ok in Firefox. If the pull down tab is avail, I might go and tick off to cancel the Amazon prices, that might speed things up a bit.
87Spinifex
Speaking of recent changes, I can't say I cared much for the way John erased RidgewayGirl's comment, and then apologized to her while making her appear like this unreasonnable member who demanded to have all changes removed.
88VictoriaPL
Personally, I think John may have confused Heather's and RidgewayGirl's comments (both were deleted). I don't care for his response either.
89Bcteagirl
Labelling her comments without leaving the comment there to defend itself (Are we to just assume the comment was unreasonable) is not nice. I could almost see removing it in a huff (we all have huffs) and then apologizing.. but to try to vilanize (sp?) the comments once they are gone is the wrong way to go about it.

I think its a possibility John is human and is tired and handled this badly.
Hope he gets some rest and gets into perspective whatever the comments were.
I'm not for the price showing but it is hard to tell what most Bookmoochers think because most don't write anything. My guess is most people won't be bothered by it. Some will appreciate it. Some will be bothered by it.

Is anyone having the same problem as me with regards to the new wishlist page? If I order by count, I get any books with a moochable copy of THE EXACT EDITION I WISHLISTED at the top. However, if I then look deep into my Wishlist, I find moochable copies of RELATED EDITIONS. These don't seem to be registering under "count", even though it's reading as "Count: 1" on the webpage.
That possibly makes no sense, and I apologise if it doesn't.

My available related editions are floating to the top, but I do notice that it's per page, in that if there's a book available that would fall on page 2 on my wishlist, then it will float to the top of page 2, not page 1.
I don't know if this is how it's working for anyone else or if I'm just doing something wrong.

Yes, sorting by count is only within a page when you display the entire wishlist.
Is 'show moochable now' the option you want? The problem with that is that it does not show moochable related editions.
Does anybody know how to show all moochable books sorted across the entire wishlist in descending order by count available?

Thanks. Setting books per page higher helps, but the sort is still wrong -- it is still by page only, not across the entire wishlist.
I suppose I am to blame for having accumulated 13,429 books on my wishlist!

100> Yes, John said that - because of the way the sorting/counting works, the moochables will always be at the top of the page they're on (it's a speed thing, making it look for the moochables before sorting slowed it down tremendously, he said). Yeah, a 13000+ book wishlist is going to be a bit more difficult to handle than most!

On the BookMooch blog, John is asking members to take a new survey conducted by the students at Kent State:

The survey seems to be focused on how members' BookMooch usage changes over time.
