On your bookshelfs, are your books au naturale or jacketed?
Mine are a mixture, but I am giving serious consideration to the au naturale presentation.

I'm afraid your descriptions are inaccurate. A book which is issued with a dust jacket is indeed "au naturale" with the jacket on - it is in it's natural, and complete, state. But without the jacket it might be more accurately described as "castrated". Apart from my snarky remark, it's important to note that books with the jackets removed are almost unsalable if you should try to sell them someday to a used bookshop.
