mysterious truncation (of comment field content) (text is in cyrillic)

Hi! About ten days ago I added the books listed at http://www.librarything.com/catalog/gangleri&author=linderisaak
They all contain some cyrillic text in the comment field.

Both the English url http://www.librarything.com/work/details/66022781 and the Russian url
http://ru.librarything.com/work/details/66022781 show another i.e. a different content. This applies to all my Linder books (but not to all books tagged шахматы == chess).

Any clue about what happened here? Regards Reinhardt

Is the different content similar at all to the content you typed in? Or is it completely different. In other words, does it perhaps contains some of the content you typed in.

(For those wondering, I'm trying to see if there's maybe an unterminated string or something.)

The text string is the concatenation of "Серии: "and the series name:

The last part %D0%BD%D0%BE%D0%B3%D0%BE+%D0%9E%D0%BB%D0%B8%D0%BC%D0%BF%D0%B0 is missing.

Please be shure to select a display style and display configuration which allows you to see the Subject colomn at Tag: ↑ru.SL (catalog gangleri). Dozens of fields display "garbadge" characters.

The problem might relate to what topic http://www.librarything.com/topic/99640 is about. Any content when stored implies a coding method used. The knowledge about that coding method must be preserved and "communicated" to all system elements involved (browser, OS etc.) when the datas are retrieved. Anything else / any other strategy / implementzation makes no sense today (because no smart coding detection mechanisms are implemented at large scale).
