Does anyone know anything about this award? I can't find anything online about the award other than the first Harry Potter book won the award. Can't find any other books to add to the list.

This article has a bit more about it, but I can't find that it was given in any year other than 1997.

I found this so it must be still active in 2001.

My Mum and Other Horror Stories
My Mum and Other Horror Stories was shortlisted for the Birmingham Cable Children's Book Award.

Also I think Birmingham Cable is now called TELEWEST BROADBAND ( the company name)

I checked out the Birmingham library web site, which is the organization that managed the award in 1997, but they have no mention of it anymore.
