I enjoyed both The Last Wish and Blood of Elves by Andrzej Sapkowski.
It would be NICE if either Gollancz (UK) or Orbit US FINALLY continued this series. the next book was on the schedules, then was continually bumped, then vanished.
Very frustrating. This is a high quality series.

I enjoyed both as well, though I wish Geralt was featured more in Blood of Elves.

Yep agree - didn't find them stunning, but definetly better than average. Have you tried writing to the publisher to let them know your feelings? Their websites will have contact details.
Anyone played the Witcher game which was based off of them?

I did already make some comments to Orbit US via their website. I have yet to do it with Gollancz.
I'm led to believe by Polish friends that the translations are pretty good, but still lose a little.

I've read both of the books and I certainly understand the frustration. It does seem that Gollancz has dropped the series without notice, which is disappointing.

I don't think it's dropped, Waterstones has a 2012 release date for the next two books listed. They're the only place that do though.

I was just re-reading The Last Wish a few days ago and checked on Bookdepository.com for upcoming books. The next two books are listed as coming out in April/May 2012 (depending on format) and October 2012, respectively.

I have only played the video game related to these books. I will have to check them out, I was not aware that they had been translated.
The game was fairly good though a bit buggy. I happened to have the international version of the game ... you could ahh... earn pinups for managing to sleep with various women throughout the game. From what I understand this was not available in the original release of the US game, may have been in the later release of the gold version.
There is a Witcher 2 game coming out sometime next year, you can preorder a digital copy at GoG.com.

The lack of Naked girls on playing card pin ups was indeed corrected in the later American Directors Cut release, and further scenarios added, and with that release there are almost no bugs that I could find, they'd pretty much all been corrected.
Did you notice that the Witcher is hot for red heads ;-)
I believe both Gollancz UK and Orbit US both have skipped one short story collection that sits between 'Last Wish' and 'Blood of Elves', there are something like 5 or 6 short stories that introduce characters that later appear in Blood of Elves, so it's a shame that decision was made.
