Message 11: _Zoe_
Is original title included?

Message 12: timspalding
Not if it's not elsewhere among the editions. Must fix.

Update on why this isn't fixed yet (see http://www.librarything.com/topic/107331).

Something of a feature request. Not a priority.

Resurrecting. Add later today back home, Tim.

I wonder if anyone has a good example here, though—especially one that doesn't have the additional complication of an original title in Chinese or whatever.

I'd say a real-life example would be hard to find. In one sense, that argues for not bothering. But in another sense, when something is hard to find, it's awfully handy if the Search helps you find it...

Tim, you're the one with SQL access, can't you find an example much more easily than we can?

Finding one that isn't used elsewhere in any edition isn't a SQL query, it's a rather involved program, running over millions of things.

However, I'll just go ahead and make one—some crazy original title on one of the test books.

Fixed.

I added a canonical title, original titles and alternate titles here:
http://www.librarything.com/work/12524292/commonknowledge

And you can find them in the index, here:
http://www.librarything.com/search.php?search=Kjbnmvcxg&searchtype=work&...

I am currently regenerating the entire work index. It will take some hours before it is done.

Cool. Thanks, Tim.
